January Blocks from Kerry of Rowville, Victoria

Just received these amazing blocks from Kerry. I really love her choice of fabrics and the great workmanship. She also made me a bookmark with my name embroidered on it. How sweet!!! Love, love it and thank you. She also 'written' her name on one of the seams and I thought, that was a smart thing to do as I will know straight away that those blocks were from her. A brilliant idea Kerry! I enjoyed having her as my January partner.

They will be in the post on Saturday and I hope that she likes them. They were fun to make. cheers Kerry

Spools, Spools, Spools

I loved the way Lynette showed all her basket blocks, so I laid out my lovely collection of spool blocks. Some are from swap mates and some I made. Another year of swapping and add-ins should make for a very special quilt. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have given me some beautiful blocks and to the future swappers to come.

Sewingly Yours,
Sharon

Little sailboats

Now I have finished the Bold stars I had to think about what my next project to be.  I didnt have to think for long as with 6 grandchildren (4 of them boys) I decided on this sweet little sail boat.

Billy was my partner for January and got them to me in no time at all.  I absolutely love them, and if you look close enough you can see the little anchor charm that she included for me to stitch onto the quilt.  Billy was also kind enough to also send me some extra fabric in case I want to use it in the borders - such a great idea.  I love how she has folded the fabric into little fat triangles.
