My parcel from Medora arrived in the mail today, a little wet as its pouring down here today, and quite obviously my letterbox is not that water tight. Medora kindly sent me some spare fabric so I can use this in the borders.
Here are two little sail boats to add to my regatta, these are going to look fabulous in a quilt, all lined up.
With four grand sons I may have to save these for awhile to make them a sailing quilt each.

Long Lost Package (Oct'11 Blocks) from Anna of Nederlands
Surprise, surprise!!! Couldn't believe my eyes when I received my mail yesterday - from the Netherlands. Anna was worried when she found out that I have not received my Blocks. I informed her that sometimes it takes over a month but I did'n't expect that it would take nearly 3 months. I did tell her not to do me another set of blocks as it might have the same fatality!! This is a 'God Send' as it would be a shame if it had got lost, as the package contained the most amazing fabrics and of course, my beautiful Blocks. Thank you very much Anna, I love your choice of fabrics used for my Blocks especially the black (with tiny red specks, gorgeous) and of course, your work is exquisite.
As for Anna, she requested for a 9 patch in autumn colours and these are what I did for her.
I must apologise to Anna, on behalf of the Local Postal Service. Hopefully this does not happen again.
Once again, thank you Anna for everything and I can't wait to get started on the fabrics.

February Blocks from Michele-Marie
I am definitely spoilt because Michele-Marie has sent me 4 gorgeous blocks. The 2 colourful blocks are ideal for my 'Pot Holders' collection. And I am impressed with her workmanship (as you will notice in the pix). Thank you very, very much Michele-Marie.
As for her blocks, she has requested for any block in bright colours, I couldn't resist using my favourites (black, red and whites).

Medoras blocks to Anna
Medora writes,
I am sending you the photos (of Annas blocks) so maybe you can post them for me. I hope you won't mind and I am grateful. Your blocks are in the progress and have one block done. Tomorrow I will do another and hope to have them in the mail by Friday. I am enjoying the making of these as paper piecing is fun to do and exercises the mind like Sudoko. LOL...Well, maybe not as challenging.....haha!....Nice to be partners with you and I browsed on the Blog and seen the blocks you made for me and now I am anxious for them to arrive in my mailbox. Thanks for your patience....Hugs in quilting...Medora

Pastel stars for Medora
Medora requested pastel stars on a tone on tone background
The first one I made in lilacs came out 1/4 inch undersized so I made 2 more, one in pinks and one in greens. I will send Medora all three as she may still be able to use the slightly smaller one.

Coralies blocks
I have two partners this month, and both sets of blocks arrived safely. They are both lovely. Thank you. Your blocks are on the way, hopefully they will get to you quickly. I hope you like them. I forgot to take a photo of Michele-Marie's blocks before sending them so you will have to wait until they arrive, sorry. The set with the heart are from Michele-Marie, the second set of stars are from Chantell, and the third set of floral stars are on the way to Chantell. Bless you and happy quilting everyone.
