For Brenda ..............................
Brenda asked for any block, and gave me a couple of colour choices. I couldn't stop at one, so made two very different blocks -
a woven heart in black and white, and a pinwheel in Tuscany colours.
I hope you are as pleased with these as you have been with all your other blocks Brenda. Happy stitching, Jan.

Bloom table runner.
Here is the pretty table runner that I have made with blocks received in the six inch group. This is a paper pieced block (before we had a separate group for them), called buttercup. But it looks like a rose bud to me.
I am really pleased with how lovely this has turned out and how effective the blocks are placed in different ways.

July and August swaps
Here are the two blocks I sent to Brenda in Ohio. We have swapped before in the 12" swap so it was lovely to swap again just downsized. Think the ones she sent me are at the bottom of this.. technology and me do not go together!
These are the civil war/ reproduction log cabins I sent to Terese in Portugal. A challenge(I don't use these sorts of fabrics) but she loved them. The first one I did had a wonky centre hence she got 3!
My beautiful returns from Terese and a hexie flower as well. I have finished my hexie flower garden quilt but this will make it's way into a novelty one that I am in the process of making.

For Traci in America ..................
I bought some 'country fabrics' for my 12 inch swap this month, so made use of them for the 6 inch swap also.
I put them together in different ways to visualise the possibilities of a larger number of blocks - the secondary patterns could be very interesting!!!
I hope you are pleased Traci - they went into the mail yesterday.
Thank you so much for my beautiful blocks. I will be watching for them to arrive. Jan

For Jan in Australia
I loved these blocks. They were fun.
The one on the left is brown outside, greenish inside and center is yellow, brown and green. The picture really makes the green look blue.
The one on the right is deep burgundy outside, yellow inside and center is the wonderful flowers.
They look so much better in person.

It's raining blocks
I was fortunate enough to have two swap partners this month, and all of my parcels arrived in the post together. My choice is either blooms or churn dash,
First are these lovely blocks from Jan who spoilt me with three blocks. I love the ballerina peeping out of the bloom.
And I was also spoilt by Brenda who included a churn dash in the 12 inch size, as I am making a chocolate churn quilt using both sized blocks.
ps, apologies for my previous post where I mixed these up. I opened them all up together and got the cards and notes mixed up. The card above is from Jan.
