Carolyn's blocks
Here are my blocks for the 6" swap. Carolyn wanted any two 6" blocks done with 1930s fabrics. I'm not really sure if these are the right fabrics. I think they are. I do like these fabrics and blocks. I used these fabrics to make a baby cot quilt. It was really sweet. A traditional Rail Fence and Spool block.
These are a very sweet pink so I hope that Carolyn likes them.

Catch up on blocks
Here is a catch up of what I received and sent over the last few months. I think I have fallen a little behind in the posting.
Here goes and I hope I have got them all right.
What I sent Shannon. Shannon wanted Kaffe Fasset. She did say she liked them and it was out of my comfort zone. But... Here they are.
Then I have just received these from her. Also, with a cute little quick unpick. It is a seam-fix brand and it has a rubber end. She says that after you cut the thread you rub them away with the end..
I'll give it a try....
She also sent me 2 charms squares to match... Very nice.
Then for this months swap I am putting these blocks in the mail for Rose...

blog is winding down
Hi ladies, the time has come for me to end the QBSA blogs, which is where it all began.
Since the introduction of the face book group I find many more members ( including myself) tend to chat and share photos on this form of social media than the blogs and it seems to have a far wider reach.
I myself find it hard to keep up with three group blogs, my own blog, the facebook page, my own face book page and the face book group, so have decided to wind down all three of the blogs.
So what does this mean for you?
If you are already an author on the blogs you are welcome to still post pictures and comments on there, but i will be encouraging all members to use the facebook page instead.
No new invites to post on any of the blogs will be issued to existing or new members so over time activity will die down.
if you dont have a link to the face book group PM me or email me and i will send you one as it is a closed group ( but not a secret group). All active swapping members of QBSA will receive the link and details of the changes in their next swap allocation email.
Quilted hugs

July blocks
I received my 6 inch blocks from Kerry in Australia today and was surprised with the extra blocks and stuff. What a true blessing after I was so disappointed by my other partner not making my blocks. Thank you Kerry. I love tgem...all.

Civil War blocks for Lee
I have caught up on my 6" blocks. Here are the ones I made for Lee.
She wanted any blocks done in Civil War fabrics.i hope she is happy with the fabrics I have chosen. I am not up with Civil War but I did get the patterns from the Elm Creek Quilt book.
